This is a photo I scanned of my Great-Great Grandma Fletcher.  We have been told that she was of  Native American Indian heritage.  I don’t know when the photo was taken.  In fact, this was a photo reprint that my mother had made to give to me.  The only touchups I did was to digitally remove some scratches on the image.

I know from geneology study of my own family that it’s hard to trace Native American heritage.
I’ve yet to be able to confirm any.
You are lucky to have the photo.

I see with all the really old family pictures we have, is that a photo shoot was always taken in their finest clothes, it was a special thing. Your great-grandma stands tall and proud, a handsome woman who knew about life and worked her hardest. A different era for sure! A treasure this picture truly is…
