Happy New Year to my friends and readers!  Hope the end of 2012 was a good one for you and 2013 is starting on a happy note.  I had a four day weekend planned with my husband and my daughter, but unfortunately, plans didn’t turn out the way we wanted, so it was a different one, that’s for sure.   Tomorrow I go back to work, on my first wedding anniversary.  Our celebrations plans have been put on hold…  temporarily.

As usual, my thoughts have turned to what a wonderful year 2012 was for me.  I moved, I got married, I started a new job…  I love my new home, I love my husband, and I love my job.  I got a new car, but sad to say, it is dying on me, so that one is a bust.  I enjoyed a great vacation at Disney with my husband and my 9 year old daughter, the first real vacation I have had in years.  I lost weight, I started working on a tan, I started dressing better, and taking more care about how I look.  I didn’t have to deal with any surgeries with any family members (thank goodness) and only had one sad note when my aunt passed away a few months ago.  I can say for my lifetime that 2012 was a VERY good year for me.

I never make New Year’s resolutions because I can never keep them.  I read somewhere recently that resolutions aren’t really goals, but more of a wish…  like winning a million dollar lottery (wouldn’t that be grand?).  But I think I did win the lottery last year.  My personal life is so much better now.  My husband says the dark circles are gone from under my eyes and I can actually fall asleep now and stay asleep through the night.  That is a major accomplishment for me.

So my “wish” for 2013 is to continue loving my husband, loving my job, and my home, and my family.  I do believe that those may be resolutions that I can keep {heehee}.  I have a desire to lose more weight and rebuild my tan back up that I’ve already lost before winter is even started good.  Those are good possibilities of accomplishments in 2013.  The one that I have been slacking on though is keeping with my blog.  The last year I just haven’t had time for it.  I leave for work just after 8am every weekday morning and sometimes I don’t get home until 8pm.  Barely enough time to eat a hot meal, spend quality time with my husband and my daughter before it’s light’s out by 9pm, maybe 10pm.  I miss my blog.  I miss getting inspired to write, of sharing my thoughts, even though sometimes they are just drivel.  I miss reading other’s blogs and trying to be interactive, and I miss all the social media happenings.

So my biggest 2013 resolution, or wish, is to be more in tune with my blog and keeping that silly little girl happy.

See you around the Blogosphere!
